We went down to San Pedro to meet Randi for some maternity photos

Brian walked into Randi’s baby shower with this little baby gift from Tiffany & Co — yep, he won plenty of points there!

I love this!

I love this!

While back in California last week I stopped by to shoot with Randi, expecting next month!

While in Las Vegas, I had the great pleasure of photographing Ronan and Caitlin at UNLV. It was quite funny, watching Ronan run around and all the students on campus trying to figure out what was going on.

this was my favorite shot of the day:

just a few Valentine’s Day photos

and one with Daddy

Perhaps a little late, but still a golden session with Travis! We started at their home, and then Erin and I took Travis down to his daddy’s boat in Redondo Beach!

It might be a couple days before I have a chance to blog the rest of Travis’s photos, but I just couldn’t resist this. I mean, really, is there anything cuter than an almost naked baby on a bear skin rug in front of a fire?

I was pretty excited to see my friends Cat and Adi last week, and just as excited to see baby Clara so much bigger! Cat and Adi are working on a wall of Clara by other photographers, and I was honored to photograph her last Monday. As a photographer’s child, you’d expect her to hate the camera, but she’s really just a dream to photograph.

the winner of the Giving is Awesome post is Christina and her two daughters Vanessa and Samantha! Christina’s cousin Estella thoughtfully emailed me about them.
I hope to be sharing the photos soon!
I’m just waiting to get ahold of a few people, and then I’ll be announcing the winner!
You know someone. You know someone who’s experienced a tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances. You know someone who can’t afford custom photography, but who would cherish it this holiday season. You know someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their family’s spirit, love, and beauty.
You know someone. I guarantee it.
I want to know who they are, and I want to give them the chance to experience complimentary custom photography – $1425 worth, to be exact. (This includes their session, an album, and a few 8×10 prints.) It’s in your power to give them the artwork they deserve this holiday season.
Oh, and the best part? The person who nominates the winner receives a $375 credit. What better reason to show some love could there possibly be, people?
The rules:
* You cannot nominate yourself, and the person nominated must sincerely be incapable of purchasing my services. (Being unable to make mortgage payments for a two-million-dollar-vacation-home in Paris does not qualify as sincere financial need.)
* The nominee must reside in Southern California, or be in the Long Beach for their session. Tell me who you know, what they’re experiencing, and why they deserve my artwork. It would be great if you could include a photo of them as well. Please include a way to contact both your nominee and yourself as well.
* You must e-mail me the full story: britney @ turnloosetheart.com (remove spaces for emailing)
* They must be available between January 5-8 for the session.
The winner will be announced on Christmas Eve — get nominating! I can’t wait to read all of your entries!
Open your heart to someone this holiday season — and thanks for giving me the opportunity to open mine.
With love,
Britney

Kaylene and Chris are expecting their daughter next month! We took a few photos at their house, and then moved onto a spot I haven’t got to in a while near my old house. The sky was beautiful and made a perfect backdrop for our session.

Back before I was blogging, Steve and Aura were wedding clients. Now I guess I can move them into the portrait category as I just photographed their expanding family! Meet Steven, their son.

I love this photo of Ranger trying to get into the action!
