Andy & Susan were married yesterday at St. Bartholomew’s in Long Beach. We had a really long day, and got so many great shots– designing their album will certainly be a challenge!

Between the ceremony and the reception we had time for a stop on the beach for photos with the wedding party. Everyone was so excited after the ceremony– Andy & Susan really wanted photos walking along the water, too!

I had a great time being silly with Jen and Megan this afternoon! They are so much fun to photograph (just being around them is hilarious!).

When I heard Megan wanted to go out and take some photos with Jen, I started hounding Jen as to when we could schedule it!

Tonight’s Shoot with a mariachi band

Tonight, I did some portraits and shot during the performance of a great mariachi band, Mariachi Alma de Mi Tierra. Stephanie contacted me last week about doing some fun portraits before their performance at Heritage park in Santa Fe Springs. I think the guys weren’t too into the dressing up part, but we got some great shots!

I finished a new painting of Aaron & Natasha. I like it so much I feature it as one of the rotating images on my homepage! Since I wasn’t yet blogging at the time of Aaron & Natasha’s July 2 wedding up in Morro Bay… I’ll just say they are one of the coolest couples and Natasha is incredibly creative. As if the teal dress didn’t already say that!

She had some fabulous shoes for the ceremony and portraits, and then changed into Converse for the reception. Her’s are the ones that match the teal dress, the other two are those of her nieces.

Their wedding was held at the Inn at Morro Bay, a small little boutique hotel right on the beach in Morro Bay. Mike came with me for the wedding, and we had a nice weekend together apart from the time I was shooting the wedding. We got hooked on the USA show The 4400 while we were up there; there was a marathon of the show the morning of the wedding. I’ve also never driven 12 miles to get to a Starbucks before…

This past Friday I had the honor of photographing the vow renewal ceremony and party of Jerry and Joy. Jerry is a great photographer in his own right and also photographs weddings. You can see his site at Frazier Photography.

Two Recent Engagement Shoots

Earlier this month I shot two engagement shoots with great couples who are both going to be married in the next two months (yeah, the sessions were a bit late…).

Will & Sosi chose Crescent Bay in Laguna, and check out the light!

Steve & Malisa and I went to the Descanso Gardens and almost ran out of light, but still got some great shots.

In the Beginning…

Several other photographers I know have started weblogs over the last several months, and I think it’s a great way to let my current clients and prospective clients know a little more about me, so I’ve decided to start blogging as well. Of course, I had to go and start it at the end of July which is the busiest time of the year…!
