I have been looking forward to Ryan and Marlene’s Christmas card shoot for over a month and I’m so excited to share these photos! We had the best time playing with fake snow and decorating a tree. They kept joking that I had tricked them into decorating my tree for me.
Please let me know if you’d also like to set up a Christmas card shoot for this year, as there’s only a month left to order your cards!

This morning I woke up early to photograph A Huntington Drive’s new promo images. I’ll have a link to their band’s myspace page soon, but until then you’ll just have to be satisfied with these images!

Mike is not always the most willing model, but sometimes my insistence wins– here are a few recent photos of him.

Dave wanted to have some photos taken of him for his wife’s Christmas present, and I was happy to help out! We wandered around downtown Long Beach and took some nice lifestyle images.

It’s that time, again! We’ll be doing Christmas cards a bit differently this year. I am presenting a few set designs that I’ve been working on recently, and I’ll link to the order form towards the bottom of this post. If you’d like a custom design, please let me know and I’ll send information about the design process and fee. I’ve used some recent shoots as examples to give you a better idea of how they’ll look.

You can download the order form for christmas cards and send it in to me by December 1st. Please note that sending it in by December 1st guarantees Christmas delivery from me to you. You may wish to have it sooner to give proper time to mail to your friends and family. For both wedding clients and portrait clients, this is a great way to share your images!

Seal Beach was a bit chilly yesterday (especially since I forgot a jacket!), but we still had a nice shoot. Here are a couple favorites:

Ana Maria + Gino – 10/14

Wedding
Saturday was a surreal day. I had been worried about the weather all week, but in the end it cleared up nicely by the time I arrived at Rancho Capistrano for Ana Maria and Gino’s wedding. There were plenty of beautiful details to photograph. This wasn’t surprising at all, since Ana is the talented woman that designed some of the furniture in my studio. She had her hand in every part of the wedding, including the gorgeous gazebo they stood in front of during the ceremony.
Her elaborate dress was designed by Lloyd Klein, and getting dressed was an event unto itself! Unfortunately, I wasn’t permitted to photograph that, so there are only pictures before and then after Ana came out of the dressing room.

The ceremony site, before the sun went away for the rest of the day.

A few more portraits, since we didn’t have much time earlier. As it turned out, shooting at night was rather incredible!

A Tale of Two Bears

These are my bears. They are both very old, but the nice looking one is new to me. The other, I’ve had since I was 10 years old, and it hasn’t really been apart from me too much. I still sleep with my bear. Yes, I’m one of those people. Anyway, Mike’s really been on my case about it. Not that I sleep with it, since he knows that him working at night means he doesn’t get to say anything about that! No, he’s been on my case about the bear because it looks so old and ratty!
Well, a couple weeks ago I noticed a non-spam Paypal receipt in my inbox. Curious, I checked what it was for and Mike had found the exact same bear on ebay! My aunt and uncle bought one of these from Victoria’s Secret for each one of my cousins a long time ago, and Mike was able to track it down for me. It was supposed to be a surprise, but he used my paypal account and I figured it out… :)

Mike thinks it’s time to give the old bear to Fez. I said no!
Michigan and my family

Brian and Tracy’s wedding gave me the perfect opportunity for a short family visit. My dad’s brother and his family live north of Detroit, in Birmingham. So I left a day early and arrived on Thursday and spent two days with them! Aunt Lynn and I shopped and went to a variety of Logan, Quinn, and Kendall’s activities. We all went out to dinner on Friday night, and Aunt Lynn brought me to a great cider mill. I wasn’t carrying my camera around most of the time, and it’s a good thing because I would have annoyed everyone by asking to stop the car all the time. The beginning of October is such a gorgeous time in Michigan!
