Wednesday I asked another photographer to give me a challenge. I want to thank Dan Johnson for that!

I went to the local mall and spent 40 minutes walking up to random strangers asking if I could take a photograph of them. It was supposed to be an hour, but security was giving me nasty looks so I left a little early. I was actually only turned down to take the photo four times, thankfully! It’s actually extremely hard for me to approach people I don’t know, so this was a good exercise for me. Nevertheless, I scrubbed my face clean of any makeup and wore a tee shirt and cords so that I looked like a teenager and people would find it harder to say no. :)

We’re not actually leaving for a few days, but at some point today my internet service is being disabled. So, I’ve set up a bunch of delayed blog posts to keep everyone entertained until I’m home.

I will not be returning messages or emails until after New Year’s. Where we’re going… there is not internet or phone service without paying an arm and a leg for it! Don’t worry… I’ll have plenty of photos of paradise upon my return!

So… and this is my plea to you… please don’t leave tons of messages on my phone because it caps out after a certain number of messages. And after the 22nd, I CANNOT check them.

This post will remain stuck at the top of the blog until I return, so I’m adding one of my favorite photos to it.
