I just realized a couple recent albums never made it on the blog! Also, Matt and Chelsey’s album design is ready too… so I’ll just put a few in the same post.

Now that the new year is here and I’ve had a few days to settle, I realize that other than the wonderful portrait side of my business, I don’t have much going on until late spring.
So- never done before (and we’ll see how long this post stays up): I’m offering a special rate for my coverage only package for weddings between now and the end of April: $2500 for 7 hours of coverage including the hi-res files three months after the wedding date. This is a savings of about $1500! This offer will be available for a limited amount of weddings.
Also, I’d like to add a few destination weddings to my portfolio this year. After going to Northern California in 07 and both Cabo and Canada in 06, I’d like to add some new places! For this reason I’m going to be offering special pricing for all destination shoots (including other states in the US), so please contact me about the special pricing.

Personal
My recent vacation was amazing, and highly recommended. We flew into Miami to board Royal Caribbean’s Freedom of the Seas, and for seven days thoroughly enjoyed ourselves cruising and port stops in Labadee, Haiti, Ocho Rios, Georgetown, and Cozumel. I took plenty of pictures (of course), though they started tapering off towards the end of the week when I kept forgetting my cameras everywhere!
Tech info: all the widescreen photos are from our Sony point and shoot. Everyone knows I recommend canon point and shoots, but it was a free prize Mike won at a company picnic we didn’t even attend! The camera isn’t actually that bad, and does let me drag the shutter… so I won’t complain. The regular 2:3 images were all taken with my brand new Leica M8 and a 35 Summicron.
The first two images are of Miami from our stateroom’s balcony:

Formal night #1: Tori, me and Lindsey

Mike and I played a few nickel slot machines. I came out positive $9, and Mike came out positive $126! Here’s Grandpa Doug congratulating him.

Uncle Brian and I– we ended up playing blackjack for the next 3 hours where I came out positive $35. Pretty successful night thanks to Uncle Brian.

I think everyone but me and Grandpa and Grandma are in the shot waiting for the tender back to the boat

A few from the boat, beautiful sunsets in Haiti!

Just before going to dinner I looked out the balcony and saw this at dusk– carefully view and you’ll see it raining.

Me being vain

In Jamaica I freaked out when this boat was so close to us, only to find out it was close so it could clean our balconies!

I couldn’t take pictures while we were swimming with the dolphins, so I took photos of a group before us.

Grandpa exploring the dolphin complex

After the dolphins, Mike and I climbed most of Dunn River Falls. Sadly, no pictures. Mostly because everyone forgot.
Dad messing around at a restaurant in Georgetown, Grand Caymans.

A few shots taken during our walk to a glass blowing studio (might be one of my heavens)

I apparently forgot I even had a camera with me in Cozumel. Oops! But here’s a giant cloud at sunset while we were walking back to the boat.
