Robin + Peter – the engagement shoot

So, I’ve had a couple shoots with Peter and one with Robin (sort of) before as well… but this one just amazed me and I had such a great time. It doesn’t hurt that they supplied marshmallows. :) I’ve been wanting to do a shoot at a bonfire for a long time, and was so glad that Peter and Robin were up to the idea.

We started at Main Street walking amongst the crowds at the farmer’s market, then moved onto the beach for a couple shots, and then Robin built us a great fire! But, my favorite shot is first, this one from the bonfire. Have I mentioned I love the bonfire?

A Mission Valley Country Club Wedding

Rebecca and Blake tied the knot amongst a very boisterous crowd this past weekend! I had a great time shooting with Aaron out in the Palm Springs area at the Mission Valley Country Club, and I was thrilled the weather cooperated and gave us a warm day without rain! Plus, partying with this crowd was SO much fun!

A few of Becky getting ready. She laughed. A lot. :)

A couple of the boys stopped by to see the progress:

Becky’s sisters were helping her to keep laughing, rather than just barely holding it together…

I caught Blake in a moment just before the ceremony

One day, I’m sure, I’ll be greeted with the same amount of enthusiasm with which groomsmen greet beer.

Or ringbearers (don’t worry, he’s holding it for his dad during a formal photo!)

Can you tell I fell in love with photographing Max, the ringbearer?

The One and Only Palmilla

While shooting with Leigh this past weekend, I wandered every so often and shot the resort itself. There are a lot of things I liked about the Palmilla, some small intricate details and others the impeccable service. My favorite part? The many different kinds of lanterns meant I was in heaven! I should be able to post some images from the weekend’s events later.

This was actually on the boat… more on that later

more lanterns!

Most of the beds were already covered for the day, but this is how I lounged around during the morning.

The staff at the One and Only Palmilla put these lanterns on the lawn every evening, and they’re put away by the time morning rolls around

Marlene and Ryan – Expecting!

Last Monday we went out and had some fun for Ryan and Marlene’s maternity photos! They are waiting for the surprise of a boy or girl and couldn’t be more excited, so we played on that a little with their photos before heading out for some scenic shots.

A Guasti Villa Wedding

Joel and Karley… wow. Not only are they a beautiful couple on the outside, they shine from within. I very much enjoyed their family-oriented wedding at the Guasti Villa in Ontario, and not just because it was so pretty to photograph! I think for this post, words kind of bring me to a loss.

The beautiful setup when I walked in:
