The Jpeg Model Shoot

On Day 1.5 of the Bebbinar in Vancouver, BC they put us to work. While I would definitely not categorize this as a shooting seminar, Jen and Steve had us shoot to prove a few points of theirs, namely efficiency and consistency. They have me looking at shooting with jpegs again (although I need to test this on a sunny day first!) and certainly at playing more often with different settings.

Here are a few of my favorites, including the four I submitted in the workshop for the different keywords.

Britney, what are the arguments for shooting JPG on the camera? I haven’t jumped into shooting raw on my Rebel XTi, but I’ve been running into the limits of shooting JPGs on it. (Reds get blown out, color balance issues in mixed lighting conditions, etc.)

As always, I really like your style of portraiture. There is something “quiet” about these. Hard to put my finger on.

BTW, I have added you to my RSS feed…
